Really was summer today for the men to play their qualifying rounds in the Open Singles, two out of three wins required to move into post section.
There were sixteen entries and from these players, 9 qualified for post section play. This meant that only one game could be played today and the rest will be played next Saturday.
The draw was made and the first of the Post section games was between Omeka and Ken Hayward – (I thought it was ironic that these were the two players who put me out of the competition!)
Ken won this game and will face Dave Walker in next game on the coming Saturday.
