Another ‘Well Done’ Week.

All but one of our five Women who entered the KCBC Singles, played at our club and Waitarere Beach, qualified which was a very good effort. See results by clicking –

Margaret MacKay went on to reach the last 4 but was then beaten by the eventual winner, Audrey Stevenson from Paraparaumu Beach Club.

Wednesday saw our four men’s Rotary teams playing, two at RSA and 2 on our new Dales carpet. Teams had to contend with a very strong wind on our exposed home green but most players were able to adapt to the conditions (as we always have to do no matter where we are playing.) At the end of the two rounds, our teams had won all their games, 8 out of 8. I bet Joe had a big smile when he got the results.
Thursday was another test day but this time, not on the green but in how our members would respond to a fire drill. All went well, with those with responsibilities, carrying them out correctly and our players evacuating the clubrooms to the reporting area.

To complete the day, the second round of Business House Bowls got underway, also very successful.

We had been presented with good weather for the week and responded with good bowls.
