Bowling Award

Well it has been hard to believe!

President Ken took the photo late in the afternoon yesterday which shows Stafford demonstrating how bowls can be played on an artificial green under any conditions.
This morning the sun was out and it looked picturesque after all the snow that had fallen yesterday afternoon and over night.
As we all know, bowls is a great game and can be played under most conditions. Even though the green was covered with snow, Murray Griffin, with helpers, somehow got the ‘covering’ off the green.
I was quite happy sitting at home after lunch with the sun shining into the lounge, but I did phone the club and was told that quite a few members were there, ready to play in the roll-up.
Later in the afternoon, I decided to call into the club and sure enough, twenty (20) players were on the green, all well wrapped up, playing our favourite game.
I congratulate them all, and in recognition of their dedication to sport, award them :

If you were playing, feel free to wear the above award.
