I wouldn’t have thought that play would have taken place in the fortnightly gala today after viewing the weather forecast last night, but though cool, the sun was out and play took place.
North and south play today which did mean that at the clubroom end it was great being sheltered and in the sunshine. Not quite the same at the other end; not only the light but cool air, but also some snow piles still remaining under some of the seating.
Three rounds played and the results were:
1st – Michael Norris, Don Hutchins and Doris Thorn – 3 wins, 17 ends, 31 points
2nd – Dave Walker, Murray Griffin, Ra Walker – 3 wins, 14 ends, 33 points
3rd – Fred Adams, Omeka Feaunati, Coral Mills – 2 wins, 15 ends, 45 points.
