It was a funny afternoon (really mean sunny) but either word will do – a typical afternoon rollup with triples and pairs being played.
My opposing skip was Joe and we were having a good bowling competition and as well, a pleasant time for a chat.
It was during one of our conversations that a shot arrived that nearly came right to the head. The first we realised that it had arrived was catching site of it (of course I mean sight) – indeed, no other warning. Was it worthy of a clap for a good effort or was it really just a similar word.
We both looked around to see from where it had come but strangely enough we couldn’t identify the culprit.
Another closer look and we realised that I should let you know that it was a visiting seagull which had flown over the green. (See photo in Gallery)
The problem really is that I made a mistake in the title. One mis-typed letter in a word can change the meaning quite dramatically. You will now understand that what really happened, that something came from the sky and just missed my head.
So easy to make an error – during the game I managed to do a wrong bias which meant I had to ring the bell in the clubrooms and make my donation. Perhaps it might be a good idea for me to make a Spelling Error box so that all my mistakes could be paid for. I suppose not, as really I do try to get all the words right but perhaps it is age, I jsut seam two meiss some. No worry, as long as you understand what has been said.
So after all that, perhaps the shot of the day was the one I took at the club of the camellia at the east end of the clubrooms. The flower looks really good to my eyes.
