It certainly has been an enjoyable series of galas played during the winter.
The original decision had been made to try the afternoon galas each Wednesday but it soon became evident that every second week would be more popular and this proved to be correct. Starting at Noon and playing three games of 8 ends each, was the final format and generally the green was full.
The weather at times was not the best – generally cool/cold but bowlers seem to be a hardy lot and played on.
The support of some players from other clubs was also appreciated.
