Hope I’ve got it right. I’ll put up the Score sheets from the Centre once they are published :
Men’s Super Sevens – 5 wins and 1 loss, Reserve 7’s – 5 wins and 1 loss, Women’s Open 7’s – 4 wins and a draw. Overall, a successful day.
Our Reserve 7’s played at home and I heard very good reports on our greens; I played on the cotula, east and west. and it was running well.
Our games against Levin Central Red saw Ken have a big win in his Singles 25-8, the Pairs and our Fours both winning 18-16. Our Fours game went into the last end 16 all but we managed to get an extra 2 points to win the match.
The afternoon round was against Paraparaumu Red, the team leading the competition. Ken again did well, winning 25-15, the Pairs went down 11-17, but we had a good win in the Fours, 18-12.
It was a very good day in so many ways, a fine weather, two excellent greens and club members, not playing, but helping in all the tasks needed to make the day a success. Our thanks to them.
Murray Griffin Measures (followed up showing ‘One Up’)
Skip of the Pairs, Jack Willis, in action.
