Rotary’s Final Day

The final day of this season’s Rotary was played on both greens at the Central Levin Club. (Usually games are played at two different clubs.)

We were aware that we were in 2nd place entering today’s games, behind Central so we were hoping that our eight games would be more successful than Central’s with the hope that we would again win the competition.

The first round saw us win 3 of the four games and soon followed up with 4 wins in Round 2. (one was as a result of one club team not turning up to play due to a mix up in the starting time of the day’s play)

We had afternoon tea and then heard the Waitarere Club organiser announce the results – Winner – Central Levin with our Club still in 2nd place. We had played well on the day but so had Central, so our congratulations go to them on winning the Rotary Shield.
