Another Gala’s Last Day

Plenty of signs today that we were approaching the summer season – great afternoon of sunshine for the last Afternoon Triples Gala.
Seven rinks again in use and with only three games played, and there are lots of chances for teams to get into the top winners.
Rod Cotter and his team, again proved that they are playing good bowls, the only three winner. Congratulations Rod, Bronwyn McMahon and Liz Galloway.
Susan skipping with Alan and I giving a hand, had our chance for a third win but Murray’s Griffin team got the four points they needed on the last end to claim a draw. Being one end behind Rod would still have kept Susan in 2nd place.
Pressure must have told on a few as I heard the Wrong Bias Bell  ringing out a few times. (A first for you, Susan , for a long long time.

Kitchen staff again in action at the end of play – thanks to you also.

Results:
1st   Rod Cotter’s team – 3 wins 15 ends and 26 points.
2nd   Susan Boxall’s Team 2 and half wins, 14 ends and 25 points.
3rd   Alice and Rex spicer with Barry Cross with2 wins, 14 ends and 24 points.
Back to roll-up tomorrow to practise all the skills that failed you today.
