A busy day started this morning so that our Men’s and Women’s Pairs Championships could get completed.
The finals were reached firstly by Susan Boxall and Dianne Short playing Margaret MacKay and Christine Ryan. It was a close game throughout and with only one end to go, the score was level at 14 all. Margaret and Christine played in out to win by 2 points, 16-14. A most entertaining and close game.

The afternoon Men’s Final was between Neville Turnbull and Barry Cross playing John Adams and Rex Spicer.
Scoring was level on the 12th end, Rex and John catching up to 11 all, but then dropped a five on the next end, not helping things from then on.
The final end came to Neville and Barry, winning the Championship 21-13.

It was good to see so many players following many of the games throughout the day, reaching the finals to a good audience.
