Saturday, cold with the Tararuas covered in snow. Who would have believed that today the sun would be out and play would take place in the Gala.
I’ve heard that there was another very good turnout showing that bowlers are keen on playing throughout the year, even in winter … if the sun shines.
Today’s Results:
1st Margaret Griffin and Barnaby Hamid – 3½ wins, 22 ends, 35 points.
2nd Robert Falconer and Julie Stichbury- 3 wins, 17 ends, 32 points.
3rd Dianne Short and Omeka Feaunati – 2½ wins, 18 ends, 43 points.
Apparently there was a close finish for third place with Hazel Rose and Brian Coe missing out because they only achieved 33 points.
Draws coming into play it would seem, showing up as ½’s. Must have been some very close games.
