I sometimes wonder what people are thinking when they walk past the green, especially on a day like today. Certainly no rain, but a cool gloomy day, so different to what we have in our summer season.
No worries though, we are a hardy lot; well wrapped up so that we can enjoy the challenge of a game of bowls.
Nearly a full green (one team failed to turn up, but no matter, the games got under way at 11.00am once again.
We played north and south this time and the green ran well with some very close matches being played on the artificial green.
And so to the results:
1st Fred Adam’s team with 3 wins,16 ends won and 37 points gained.
2nd Neville Turnbull’s team also won their 3 games; A pity that one of had to be a Bye because of a team’s absences and points and ends had to be allocated to them.
3rd Brenda Fellow’s team won 2 games, these with 15 ends and 27points, enough for them to take out this position.
