In charge of the green ??
Wednesdays, 11.00am start, that is the plan for this season’s galas, and today, ten triples teams arrived to play. The weather forecast was not good, the sky indicated the same, and as we prepared to start the first game, rain drops started to fall.
Once well wrapped up for the conditions, we did go out and got playing the first game of 8 ends on the artificial green. The rain soon had a rest and we played through to finish the first round and then took time for our lunch.
The two afternoon games were played in similar conditions, the teams only once nearly being called off because the rain was starting to fall heavily. It quickly left us and the two afternoon games were completed and we settled down inside to relax and to find out who were the winners.
We hope that the weather will improve for next week’s games and as well, more teams will join us in the competitions.

2nd Trevor and Brenda Fellows, Tom Hamer – 2 wins, 13 ends, 30 points.
