This Monday morning, the two teams that had for various reasons been held up, were able to play the final of the Mixed Fours competition.
The teams – Neville Turnbull(s), Barry Cross, Liz Galloway, Sharon Turnbull and Jim Bagnall (s), Grahame Law, Hildi Ewart, Julie Stichbury, reached this position last month and got their game started at 10.00am.
The weather was fine, though for a time, light mist floated over the green;
Julie in the mist but not about to miss.
Twelve ends were to be played and some really good bowls were drawn on so many heads… as can be seen in the photo .
As the game progressed, all players did very well but the scores on the ends did differ; those won by Neville’s player were only singles whereas Jim’s team scored pairs and a four.
At the conclusion of the eleventh end, the board read 14 – 5 and the win had gone to Jim and his players. Congratulations.
