Les Galloway wins the Colts Singles
The green was playing magnificently with little wind, making for a perfect day for bowls. The qualifying rounds saw some interesting match up’s that produced quality games. It was difficult at times to remember that these guys are only first year bowlers. Congratulations to all that took part and the club looks forward to it’s future with so many talented new players.
There was a very high quality games when Arnold Taiaroa beat Pat Albert 21-20 in the semi final. It was disappointing that Arnold couldn’t reproduce his effort in the final. Les Galloway always had Arnold under pressure with consistent bowling and excellent shot choice, making better decisions that some of us experience players would of made. We all look forward to the Bowls Kapiti Centre’s Novice Singles in March, it will be a very hard event to qualify let alone win.
