This annual event was held at the Levin Bowling Club on Friday 23rd January
16 Teams from Levin RSA, Central Levin, Palmerston North, Whitby, Kapiti, Wakanae, Manakau as well as Levin Bowling club were present to contest the event in glorious conditions. Being a Haggis gala, some people turned up to celebrate their Scottish ancestry in kilts and bonnets with red hair which all added to the enjoyment.
An excellent lunch was provided by the club as part of the entry fee and the days activities concluded with the presentation of a large Haggis which was addressed in traditional manner by our guest from Whitby Bowling Club – Don Mcallister in Scottish traditional dress. The Haggis was piped round the clubrooms by Niko Waters (age 10) and Neti Waters (age 9), again in traditional Scottish dress, who made a tremendous impression on the people in the clubhouse.
The day concluded with the drawing of the raffle and the award of prizes which included lucky draws for those who did not win the main prizes. The winners of the Haggis event were;
First; Rob Cotter, Jim Bagnall and Grahame Law. 4 wins 27 ends and 54 points

Third; Dave Scrivener, Shoota Ballinger and Arnold Taiaroa. 3 wins, 19 ends and 36 point
