This morning’s first end being played and one notes the clear sky. As the day moved on, so did some clouds and as the day progressed, it got cooler and cooler, reminding us that autumn had arrived.
Play was interesting to the bowlers and even some magpies took time off from their flying over us, to perch on the fence and take note of how the games were going.
Seven rinks were used on the cotula green which continued to run fast and true.
Came the last game and at that stage, there was only one team with three wins, skipped by Margaret G. As has happened so often before, the three winning team failed to get the final win; in this game, they got a real hiding! This left some two winners the chance and the winners of the gala turned out to be the one skipped by Rob C.

So the summer gala season has finished and all who have taken part, thank all who have contributed to the events which have been ‘fun and games’ for all players. The winter season is approaching, so as we have an artificial green, continue your play on that green and enjoy the games and company of fellow bowlers.
