Yesterday the Horowhenua Ladies Banner was played at our club. This is an annual competition with 2 teams from each club playing 4 games of 10 ends or 1¼hr time. I had intended to watch some of the play but the fine weather got me involved in my garden and I forgot all about it so I had to get on the phone to find some of the details.
At the end of the day’s play, Central and our club were level but the former was declared the winner having the better differential by 1.
Heard that Maree played for Foxton Beach which was short of a player and that she bowled very well for them. Well done.
We were supposed to play the Balloted Mixed Triples today but rain has arrived and the event has been put off to start tomorrow at 9.00am – fingers crossed for a fine day.
