The club had two teams playing on our own green this afternoon, two games each and they recorded four wins. A good achievement on our cotula.
Playing at the Waitarere Club, Joe and I didn’t do very well, achieving only one win.
Diana, Jim and I started well against a local team for three ends but then didn’t do any more scoring for most of the game. We nearly got there with a three on the last end but that still left us one behind.
Our second game proved to be a lot better with a good win against the Foxton Beach team.
Not so lucky for Joe, losing both his games, one against Central and the other against RSA.
We did find some difficulty with the green; spoilt by the good condition of our home green. Still, we all tried and did enjoy the friendliness of all players.
