The annual Seddon Shield tournament was played yesterday with most clubs sending two Fours teams. Our two greens were used which meant that that the clubs had a team on each.
The weather remained good until that last end of the day’s play when rain dropped in on us and showed that we could move quickly when necessary.

It didn’t take long for the Dales green to be covered with water as can be seen in the photo.There were some questions asked as to how the shield should be awarded at the end of the competition and I understand that clarification is needed before it is made clear next season’s Centre Handbook.
