Today Lodzia, Dawn, Zalda and Bill Clelland joined me to play in the Horowhenua 5’s.
We were drawn to play the Shannon players and our first games got started at 1.00pm.
Lodzia was our Singles player and did well on Rink 1 which she told us played well.
Ralda was my lead, Bill, then Dawn followed on. We found the rink we were on at the other end of the green was a bit difficult on the bank side, tending to run nearly straight. We managed a few singles and just won the game by getting a Four on the last end.
After a very tasty afternoon tea, Bill joined Lodzia to play Pairs on the difficult rink and they just missed out winning their match.
It was my turn with the two ladies to play on Rink One and it certainly ran well. We did well ending the game with a win 19-1
An enjoyable afternoon with all the bowlers at the club.
