The final of the Mixed Triples was played yesterday between Barbara Selley, Brian Coe and Shoota Ballinger (s) and their opponents, Mary and Les Judd and Skip, Larry Auckram.
The cotula green had been well prepared and the match got started at 1.30pm.
After 6 ends, only 6 points had been noted on the scoreboard, all to Larry’s team but a single, and later a four, helped Shoota’s team to show some progress but the opposition, with three and then four points, gave them further seven points on the board. Shoota had only one chance left on the last end, points with a chance of a tie. It was soon evident that this wasn’t happening after his drive, instead of killing the end, put the Jack in the ditch gaining him only one point.
The game was over and congratulations go to Larry, Les and Mary.
