Yesterday saw another windy and cold day for the Winter Wednesday Gala but this did not deter the keen players who started play at 11.00am.
Pleasing to see the women’s team from the Himitangi club again and this time, ending play with 2 wins out of their 3 games. Noted that they received a free drink each as a “4th prize” as a special ‘thank you’.

2nd Margaret Griffin, Margaret Lowndes, Glenda Rowsell. 3 wins, 15 ends, 29 points.
3rd Brian Cooper, Greig Hutchings, Alan Glynn. 3 wins, 15 ends, 22 points.
Early morning start today for the club members who left on the trip to the Heretaunga visit. I’m sure they will have an interesting two days.
