Our Champion Women’s Four had a good game against Raumati South by all accounts but lost their match 15-17.
Our Skip Susan felt that the score didn’t really reflect on how close the game was and considered that they had all played well.
Congratulations go to both Central Levin teams which won their games to become this years Champion of Champions; the women’s final won 17-15 against Raumati South, and the men winning their game against Kapiti, 17-12. Well done.
It is with sadness that I have to let you know that Josie Brown, a club member since 2000, died this morning.
Josie had been prominent in sport, especially tennis, and in her time as a bowler, was always a regular attender at roll-ups, enjoying the fun and challenge of the game and the company the game provided.
