Bea Walsh
It is with sadness that I received news today of the passing of Life Member, Bea Walsh.
Bea played her bowls with the Levin Women’s Club before she joined us in 1979 as a member of the Levin West Bowling Club, the female section of the Levin Bowling Club, which later became a full part of our club.
For many years, Bea served on the Committee and also the Match Committee, but it was for many of us, her role of running the Kitchen that we well remember her.
When she moved to living across the road from the club, she was also very good at keeping her eye on our facility and could also help with a key when one forgot to bring their own.
We mustn’t forget that, above all, she was a bowler and enjoyed much of her time on the green playing the game.
For those of us who had the pleasure of knowing her, we thank her family for the time she spent with us and are sorry to have to say “Farewell” Bea.
