This week saw the completion of my previous volume of ‘Bowling News’ and this afternoon we had some games on the cotula playing 2x4x2.
It is so near to Christmas, it appears that not many members were available to play today: off shopping perhaps, decorating their homes, away visiting family members or just taking it easy. It certainly was a hot afternoon but the hardy players had fun on the green.
Playing on the rink next to me during the afternoon was Colin and I have given him the opportunity to have his photo put on the cover of the new volume. His bowl could have been a bit closer but I think he was getting a little tired by the end of the afternoon’s play. Still it did deserve the final shot of the afternoon.
This coming weekend, weather permitting, we should see our Junior Championship played. Not sure of the draw as yet but it will give the players the opportunity to show us their skills.
