I was looking forward to the second day in the Champion of Champions Fours but was unable to see the event, a pity, as our women’s team, Alice (s), Lodzia, Liz and Diana did so well. I have seen the results chart and noted that their first game on Sunday was against Kapiti, and our ladies won that match 21-7. The final was next and this was played against the Central Levin team. I believe that going into the last end saw our team just 1 point behind but another point to Central saw them win the final, 17 – 15. Congratulations go to B Gray and her team and also to Alice’s Four for a great effort.
Congratulations must also go to the Levin RSA team which won the Men’s Champion of Champion’s Final against the Paraparaumu Beach team, 21-18. It has been noted in the Centre’s report that “it was the teams 1st Centre Title and the clubs 1st Title since 1999-2000. Well done to all the winners and especially the Levin RSA team.”
A pleasing weekend for Levin Clubs – Central Levin and Levin RSA- Women’s and Men’s Champion of Champion winners, and the women’s team from Levin, runners up.
The sun was shinning as well.
