Season Drawing to a Close

A Change in the Weather Approaches

The last week of this summer season and today, some of us got together for another Tuesday Roll-up. It was when we returned to the green after our break for a cup of coffee/tea when we noticed the sky to the southwest.  It was really noticeable to us when we looked to where, normally we would notice the Tararua Range, that  a change in the weather was coming.  It also seemed that our ‘weather-man’ stationed above the clubroom was also well aware of things to come over the next few days.

Not to worry, we continued our games and it was pleasing to see and hear the enjoyment resulting from skills being shown.
Jack really played great bowls in our game. As well he knows, sometimes things just don’t work out so well, but today, he showed he could draw consistently both ways. The scoreboard kept moving and mainly on his side only.  Keep it up Jack, though preferably, when playing in my team on the day.
And just to bring you down to earth, don’t forget to pay up for your wrong bias!!
