It took some believing that yesterday we were playing in a ‘summer’ gala. It had rained overnight and there was still some water on the cotula green but the surface on the artificial green was clear and ready to use. Just a pity though that the weather was poor – windy, cloudy, certainly not the best for our day of bowls. But 9.30am arrived and the games got under way.
Three teams managed to skilfully win their four games and took out the prizes as follows:
