Men’s Pairs 2009
The day started well with the sun shining and the green running very well. A pity that by the afternoon, the sky gave us a cold and gloomy picture of out summer game in action.
Because there were thirteen teams entered in the event, three rounds of 21 ends were played by some teams in their effort to win two games to qualify and and because of some byes, two games are needed to be played tomorrow morning to finish the qualifying rounds.
Already qualified are BrianPaquin and Noel McCutcheon, Neville Turnbull and Steve Felgitscher, Fred Adams and Omeka Feaunati, Rob Cotter and Ken Hayward, Ian Wenham and Noel Larsen, Brian Thompson and Martin Howse and Grant Pratt and Shoota Ballinger.
Some great bowling was on show throughout the day and visitors at the green tomorrow will see further games of this standard, weather permitting.
